Equipment Here Works Harder Than the Rating Assumes

A SEER2 rating is measured under test conditions that look nothing like a Phoenix August or a Palmdale January. Sustained ambient temperatures past 110 raise head pressure and cook capacitors early. An eight-month cooling season puts more runtime on a compressor in two years than a northern system sees in five. And in the Los Angeles basin the problem inverts: mild loads where oversizing is the classic mistake, plus smoke and Title 24 requirements that reshape the whole replacement decision.

All of which is why the work that matters happens before equipment gets picked. A real Manual J. A static pressure test on the ductwork you already have. An honest read on whether sealing and insulating changes the answer. We do that first and let the equipment follow from it.

What HVAC Customers Say

AC went out on a Saturday afternoon in July - 117 degrees. Called Comfort Pros and Dyango was at our house within two hours. Diagnosed the issue, had the part on his truck, and we were cool again by dinner. Fair price, no games.
R Rachel M. Gilbert, AZ
Used the TrueQuote tool to price a full system replacement. I'd already gotten three in-home estimates from bigger companies - Comfort Pros was the only one that didn't try to sell me a 5-ton unit for a 1,800 sq ft house. Saved over $3,000.
T Tony K. Chandler, AZ
We moved from Phoenix to Burbank and needed a plumber the second week. Turns out Comfort Pros operates in California too - same quality, same honesty. Joe handled our water heater swap and was done in half the time I expected.

HVAC Questions We Get Weekly

Do you service HVAC systems you did not install?

Yes, every major brand. Carrier, Lennox, Trane, Ruud, Rheem, Goodman, American Standard, Daikin and the rest. We carry the common failure parts for all of them, and if a system is still inside its manufacturer warranty we check the serial number before quoting anything.

What is the difference between your Tru Tune-Up and a free inspection?

A free inspection is a sales visit. The Tru Tune-Up is $27 per unit and includes subcooling and superheat readings, a static pressure test, coil and condensate drain service, and a capacitor test under load. You get measurements, not an opinion.

How do I know whether to repair or replace?

The honest test is age, refrigerant type, repair cost against replacement cost, and whether the ductwork can support new equipment. A twelve-year-old R-410A system needing a compressor is usually a replacement conversation. A six-year-old system with a failed capacitor is a $200 repair, and we will say so.

Do you handle heating as well as cooling?

Yes: gas furnaces, heat pumps, dual-fuel hybrid systems and electric heat strips. Every gas furnace call includes carbon monoxide testing, which matters in a market where furnaces sit idle ten months a year and then get asked to run hard.

Can you work on a home with no ductwork?

That is a large share of our California retrofit work. Ductless mini splits and high-velocity small-duct systems both solve pre-1960 homes without opening up walls for conventional duct chases.

Are your technicians certified?

Our technicians hold NATE and EPA 608 certifications, and the company is licensed AZ ROC 364742 (Specialty Dual CR-39) and CA C-20 #1040927, fully insured in both states.

Not Sure Which Service You Need?

Describe what your system is doing and we will tell you which of these it is. If the honest answer is a $27 tune-up rather than a replacement, that is what you will hear.
