What Is Actually Covering Your System

Warranty confusion usually comes from mixing up three different promises. Here is who stands behind what.

Manufacturer parts warranty

Covers the equipment itself - compressors, coils, boards, motors. Most residential systems we install carry long-term parts coverage when the equipment is registered after installation, and we handle that registration for you. Coverage runs with the equipment, brand by brand: Carrier, Lennox, Trane, Ruud, Rheem, Bradford White, Navien and GreenTek by Daikin.

Our workmanship warranty

Covers the installation itself - the brazed joints, the electrical connections, the condensate routing, the duct transitions. If something we did is the reason for a failure, we make it right at no charge. One call to us, no arguing with a manufacturer about whose fault it is.

Flat-rate repair guarantee

Every repair is quoted flat-rate before work begins, and the repair is guaranteed. If the same repair fails again inside the guarantee window, the return visit is on us. Ask your technician for the guarantee terms on your specific repair - they are printed on the invoice.

How to Get Help, Step by Step

01

Call or text the number for your state

Arizona: (480) 435-2334. California: (818) 690-7951. Or text (818) 489-2826. Tell us what the system is doing - or not doing - and when it started.

02

Have the basics ready if you can

The install or repair date, roughly, is enough - we keep the full service history, model and serial numbers on file for every job we have done, so you do not need to crawl behind the unit with a flashlight.

03

We diagnose and check coverage first

The technician diagnoses the failure, then checks it against your parts warranty, our workmanship warranty and any repair guarantee before quoting anything. If it is covered, you hear that first - not after the invoice.

04

Covered work is handled end to end

We file the manufacturer claim, source the part and do the work. You do not call a manufacturer hotline or mediate between a dealer and a brand - that is our job, in both states.

The Paperwork That Wins Warranty Claims

Most manufacturer warranties quietly require two things: the equipment registered after installation, and documented maintenance by a qualified technician. We handle the registration on every system we install, and we leave written readings after every service visit as a matter of course.

If you want that documentation produced on a schedule instead of remembering to book it, the Care N'Comfort membership includes both seasonal visits and the records, at $9.99 a month per unit.

Warranty Questions

Is warranty coverage different in Arizona and California?

The coverage itself is the same - manufacturer parts warranties are national, and our workmanship warranty applies in both states. What differs is the team behind it: Arizona work is handled from Gilbert under AZ ROC 364742, California work from La Crescenta under CA C-20 #1040927. Call the number for your state and the crew that knows your system responds.

My system was installed by someone else. Can you still help?

Usually, yes. If your equipment is inside a manufacturer parts warranty, a failed part is often covered even though we did not install it - you pay for the diagnosis and labor, not the part. We diagnose first, check what coverage exists, and tell you honestly whether a warranty route or a straight repair is cheaper.

What voids a manufacturer warranty?

The most common trap is the fine-print requirement for documented annual maintenance by a qualified technician. Missing registration after installation is the second. We register every system we install, and Care N'Comfort members get written maintenance records after every visit, which is exactly the documentation a claim reviewer asks for.

Does a warranty claim cost me anything?

It depends on the coverage. Workmanship issues on our installations are entirely on us. Manufacturer parts warranties typically cover the part but not the labor to replace it - that labor is quoted flat-rate before we start, like every other repair. Whatever applies, you hear the number before any work begins.

What is covered on a GreenTek system?

GreenTek carries manufacturer parts coverage plus our workmanship warranty - and because we are the brand as well as the installer, there is no dealer-versus-manufacturer standoff. One call to us covers the whole conversation. Details on the line itself are on the GreenTek page.

I lost my paperwork. Am I stuck?

No. We keep the service history, equipment model and serial numbers on file for every job we have done. Call with your name and address and we can usually pull up everything a claim needs.
