It Started With Watching Quotes Change Mid-Conversation
Before Comfort Pros, Armen ran Healthy Air Systems in San Fernando, CA - a San Fernando Valley HVAC operation that had been in business since 1995. He worked there from 2004 through 2009, learning the trade and the parts of the business that made him want to start his own.
He founded the company in 2010 in California as Green Technology Systems. He had spent enough time in other people's homes to notice a pattern he didn't like. The price of a system replacement moved depending on how the conversation in the living room went.
In 2018 the operation was renamed Comfort Pros. In 2020 the company expanded into Arizona as Comfort Pros AZ, opening the Gilbert base and securing AZ ROC 364742. Armen oversees the back-office systems that keep dispatch and pricing consistent across both states - the parts of the company the homeowner never sees but that determine whether the quote on the phone matches the invoice on the kitchen counter.
Flat-rate pricing fixed half of that. The other half was sizing. A homeowner with an 1,800 square foot house in Chandler was routinely being quoted five tons of cooling because five tons pays better than three and a half, and nothing in the process forced anyone to prove otherwise. Manual J load calculations existed, but they were rarely run and almost never shown to the customer.
TrueQuote AI is the answer to that. Run the load calculation online, see the equipment that genuinely fits your home, and buy it without an appointment. There's no upsell attached because there's nobody in the room to deliver one. Armen still reviews the calculations himself on complex replacements. That's an odd thing for an owner to spend time on, and it's exactly why the sizing holds up.
Today that runs across two states. California out of La Crescenta covering Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, Arizona out of Gilbert covering Maricopa and Pinal Counties. Separate crews, separate phone lines, identical standards, and equipment that includes GreenTek, our own line built by Daikin for these two climates specifically.
